Mario Johnston
Bermuda born Mario Johnston began tattooing in 2003 under the tutelage of the island's own 'Smokin' Joe Mathias. In early 2006 he moved to the United States to begin a family and to persue a full time career in custom tattooing. Over the years he acquired tattoos from many different artists from all over the world, some of which would become very influential on Mario's work such as Grime and Canadians Cory Ferguson and John Wayne.

Mario's tattooing would eventually become best recognized for bold colors, dramatic lighting and the occasional south pacific styles of tribal and dotwork.
In the fall of 2011 Mario opened White Crane Tattoo in Sharonville, Ohio with the intention of creating a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere for himself as well as his clients to enjoy. Since his humble beginnings on the small island Mario's work has been internationally awarded as well as featured in numerous tattoo publications from around the globe.
